Hubballi: Decision on RCB to be Taken in Bagalkote: KS Eshwarappa
Hubballi: A new organization led by saints and religious leaders is being considered to raise a voice against the injustices faced by the backward, Dalit, and other marginalized communities. A final decision on this will be taken during a meeting in Bagalkote on October 20, according to former Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa.
Speaking to reporters after holding a preliminary meeting with leaders from various communities at a private hotel, Eshwarappa revealed that the organization aims to ensure justice for the poor and the backward classes. He noted that over 25 saints and more than 1,000 leaders from various communities are expected to participate in the upcoming meeting.
Proposed Name: Rayanna-Chennamma Brigade
Basavajaya Mrutyunjaya Swamiji of Koodala Sangama Peetha has suggested naming the organization the ‘Rayanna-Chennamma Brigade.’ The final decision on this name will be made during the meeting, Eshwarappa confirmed.
Criticism of Vijayendra
Eshwarappa did not shy away from criticizing BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra, labeling him as inexperienced in politics. “When we were building the party, Vijayendra wasn’t even in the picture. Many worked hard to establish BJP, but Vijayendra became the state president only because of the blessings of Modi and Amit Shah. Under his leadership, the party is now suffering,” he remarked.
Commitment to the Brigade
Eshwarappa made it clear that the Rayanna-Chennamma Brigade will continue its activities and that there are no plans to join BJP under any circumstances. He emphasized, “We will finalize the Brigade’s name in Bagalkote. This organization will fight against the injustices faced by our community. Rayanna and Chennamma shared a mother-son-like bond and fought against the British. We had previously formed the Rayanna Brigade, which received overwhelming support, but Yediyurappa couldn’t handle it, and Amit Shah asked us to stop. We now realize that was a mistake, and we won’t repeat it again.”
This new movement signifies a strong stand against political and social injustices and reflects growing dissatisfaction within sections of the community.
